Pets & People Together is a collaboration between the nation’s largest animal protection organization, the Humane Society of the United States; Maddie’s Fund®, a national family foundation established by Dave and Cheryl Duffield to revolutionize the status and well-being of companion animals; and the leading producer of public service advertising (PSA) campaigns, the Ad Council.

 

In conjunction with the Humane Society of the United States, Maddie’s Fund, and Ad Council, Pets & People Together advocates and promotes shelter pets' adoption through ad campaigns. Through their website, Pets & People Together provides resources such as ways to help, locate shelters nearby, and more.

 

The primary objective of the “Back in my day...” advertising campaign is to increase the number of visitors to Pets & People Together’s website, which indicates a solid intent to adopt a pet and allows visitors to search for adoptable pets in their area.

 

Additionally, the campaign seeks to advocate for adopting senior dogs through clever designs and sayings that compare seniors' behavioral aspects to adults and puppies. The campaign proves senior dogs to be an excellent adoption option.
